LaFayette Lanier Elementary School is located at 6001 20th (Highway 29) in Valley, Alabama, and is a part of the Chambers County School System. LaFayette Lanier is a neighborhood school with a long tradition of providing quality education to its students since its organization in the mid-1880's. The current school was built in 1935.
LaFayette Lanier provides quality instruction by dedicated employees to 287 students from kindergarten through fifth grade. LaFayette Lanier's entire faculty is highly qualified by the definition from the No Child Left Behind Act. Our faculty has twenty-two teachers, two resource teachers, a reading coach, a media specialist, and a part time counselor, nurse, and speech teacher. Students have access to computers in our lab and classrooms.
The racial make-up of the school is 46% African American, 52% Caucasian, .7% Hispanic, and .3% Asian.
